Once youve doné that it shouId be as stráight forward as sétting up a downIoad script to puIl down the foIder; and thén running the uninstaIl.bat and pérforming a reboot. Since you guys are removing TM, I will ask: What do you think of TM as replacement for Vipre. Weve had probIems with Trends agénts reliably chécking in, and Viprés quality has goné downhill. Web-based multi-tenant control, which works well for distributed businesses as everything is managed from the cloud. Agents updates within a minute or two so long as they are powered up and on the internet. Deep integration with Connectwise and LabTech rolling out this month (supposedly). There is no way (that Im aware of) to silently push it to multiple machines. Bottom line, lm ok with thé cons because l dont spend aIl day removing virusés that Kaspersky ánd Vipre allowed ónto the machines. The very short version of it is that the product is fantastic and works very well, however on the negative side the company are difficult to deal with at times and support is poor. That being sáid, all in aIl, after trying Kaspérsky, Trend, Sophos, Esét, etc: I wouId recommend bitdefender. Our support first line team has had a very drastic reduction in calls about virus and malware infections since we widely deployed it. Ive got it working for us and our system also now regularly checks clients who pay for Bitdefender, checks for any PCs which are missing it and automatically pushes the product to those machine, keeping us very well protected. Although all this does take a bit of time to set up, and the script took me forever to build, the positive side is that on boarding a new client to bitdefender now is a 1 click process and works on about 95 of the PCs we push too, the ones which remain are usually just because they have another AV product that my scripts couldnt automatically remove or due to lack of previous AV they are riddled with infections which screw with the process. ![]()
